About

…I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them… I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.  I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.  1 Corinthians 9:19-23 ESV

The Apostle Paul displayed a glorious Christ-like example of living. He imitated the life of Christ well and he called the saints at Corinth to do the same by imitating his example (1 Cor. 11:1). Christ came to serve and not be served and give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). Paul made himself a “servant of all”. He used the glorious liberty that He found in Christ not for selfish living but for service. The aim of the Apostle Paul’s service to others was to win them to Christ, see them saved and experience the blessings of the gospel. This is what it looks like to do everything for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). Paul sought to meet people where they were at whether they were Jewish, under the law, outside of the law or weak. He didn’t wait for them to come to where he was at but he lived outside of a comfort zone and related to people on their turf in ways that would be relevant to them. This was all done for the gospel’s sake. And that is the very reason I have started this blog, for the gospel’s sake. My aim is to see people come to Christ by believing and embracing gospel truth that is presented on this blog. I desire to see God’s people stirred up and strengthened in their relationship with God and in their reaching out to the lost with the gospel. I have a high view of the gospel of Christ and biblical truth because I have experienced its power. My passion is for others to experience the life changing power of the gospel that God has graciously revealed to us in the pages of Scripture.

I am a husband to one, a father of four. I serve as the lead pastor at City Church Garland in Dallas, TX.
